CertiPUR-US® Certification

The foam layers used in Ru9 mattresses have been certified by CertiPUR-US®, the world's most recognized and trusted certification program for flexible polyurethane foam. Developed by industry experts, the certification verifies that Ru9's foam meets strict standards for materials, emissions, performance, and durability.

Specifically, Ru9's mattress foam meets these six CertiPUR-US® standards:

  • Manufactured without substances that harm the ozone layer.
  • Made without prohibited flame retardants such as PBDEs, TDCPP, or TCEP.
  • Free from mercury, lead, and other heavy metals.
  • Free from formaldehyde, which may be harmful to the skin and respiratory system.
  • Free from phthalates regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
  • Low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions, contributing to healthier indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million).

To ensure consistent quality, Ru9's foam undergoes random recertification testing every year. Companies that meet the CertiPUR-US® standards are listed on the official CertiPUR-US® website, providing complete transparency and confidence in the long-term quality of every Ru9 mattress.

OEKO-TEX® Certification

STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® is one of the world's most comprehensive and trusted independent certifications for textile products. Established in 1992, it has become a globally recognized standard thanks to its rigorous testing criteria for harmful substances.

After undergoing OEKO-TEX®'s strict and comprehensive testing process, the TENCEL™ fabric used in Ru9's Niu Pillow has been certified as safe for human health. Specifically, it:

  • Contains no substances prohibited by law.
  • Is free from a wide range of harmful chemicals, including those that are not yet legally restricted.
  • Meets the stringent STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® requirements, developed by leading industry experts and aligned with international safety standards.
  • Complies with the requirements of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA).
  • Is produced through an environmentally responsible manufacturing process.

To earn the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certification, every component of the Niu Pillow—not just the TENCEL™ fabric—must meet the required safety standards. This includes the stitching, zipper, buttons, and all other attached materials, ensuring the entire product is safe for everyday use.
